Myia McKenna

Myia McKenna has been practicing in the area of family law for more than 15 years and is the founder of McKenna Family Law, LLC. Myia grew up in Boone County, attending Southern Boone Schools and Rock Bridge High School. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri and of the University of Missouri School of Law. After law school, Myia received excellent training and mentorship practicing family law with established law firms in both Kansas City and St. Louis for nine years. Myia returned to her native Columbia in 2011, where she enjoys serving her clients and the community she loves.
Myia’s areas of practice include: dissolution of marriage, post-dissolution matters, legal separation, modification of custody and support orders, paternity actions, and other domestic relations matters. Myia also handles legal issues facing same-sex couples.
Myia received a B.A. degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in psychology, political science and Spanish, with a minor in sociology, from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1999. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2002. Myia was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 2002 and to the Kansas Bar in 2003. She is member of The Boone County Bar Association and a past member of the Eastern Jackson County Bar Association and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. She is active in numerous other legal and professional organizations.
Myia resides in Columbia with her husband and children.
