Jennifer Perry is a family law attorney with a strong foundation built on more than 25 years in law enforcement. After decades of working closely with families and individuals during some of their most difficult moments, Jennifer was inspired to pursue a law degree and transition into family law—a field that allows her to continue serving her community with compassion and integrity.

Her background gives her a unique understanding of the human side of legal issues, as well as the systems and processes that affect families in times of change. Jennifer approaches every case with empathy, clear communication, and a steady focus on helping clients find resolution and stability.

Jennifer grew up in Cole County, attending Jefferson City High School. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri in Psychology and her master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Columbia College. She returned to school in 2021 while continuing to work in law enforcement full-time and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2025. She assisted in reestablishing the Child and Family Justice Clinic (formally the Family Violence Clinic) at University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law during her time as a student and was a member of the Women’s Law Association. Jennifer was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 2025 and is a member of the Boone County Bar Association.

Jennifer’s areas of practice include: dissolution of marriage, legal separation, modification of custody and support orders, paternity actions, Guardian ad Litem appointments, and adoptions.

Jennifer is an active community advocate dedicated to supporting families, animals, and first responders. She frequently promotes and attends numerous fundraising events benefiting local animal rescues, first responders and veterans, foster children, and programs for low-income families with children. As a committee member for Molly’s Miles 5K/10K, which raises money for Missouri Concerns of Police Survivors (MO C.O.P.S.), she works to honor and assist the families of fallen officers. Passionate about fighting food insecurity, Jennifer, her husband and son built and installed a small food pantry in their neighborhood. She regularly contributes to local blessing boxes and free little pantries and manages a community social media page that connects area residents with vital food resources. Her commitment to service reflects her belief in building stronger, more compassionate communities. Jennifer resides in Millersburg with her family.
